Hit 30 free trials in one month and that felt like a huge red flag

I signed up for 30 different free trials last month just to test some password managers and VPNs, and the sheer number of subscription traps honestly shocked me. Has anyone else noticed these trials are getting way harder to cancel than they were a year ago?

Use a virtual card with a $1 limit next time.

Virtual cards are a lifesaver for situations like this. I started using them after a shady subscription I cancelled kept trying to charge me anyway. Bank wouldn't help but the virtual card just declined it like clockwork. Some banks even let you create a new number instantly in their app so you dont have to wait for a physical replacement. Set that limit to zero if you can, that way you KNOW they cant take anything.

Virtual cards are honestly the only way to play this stupid game anymore.
