Hit 500 failed login attempts on my home server in one week

Checked my fail2ban logs last night and saw 500 blocked attempts from a single IP in Boston trying to brute force my SSH. That was way more than I expected from a random home setup. Has anyone else seen that many hits on a non-business network?

Probably not a big deal honestly, fail2ban does its job and 500 attempts is nothing for a bot scanning the whole internet. Unless you've got it exposed on a weird port or something, I'd just shrug it off.

Yeah but 500 is still 500. I'd be pissed too.
