Hit 500 unique passwords in my password manager yesterday and that's when it got real

I figured I'd maybe have 100 or so accounts but turns out every random forum, free trial, and newsletter signup adds up fast, so how many passwords are you guys sitting on?

How many of those you actually still use on the regular?

Did your buddy end up loaning any of that stuff out and never see it again?

...and that's when my buddy Mark realized he had like 40 accounts for the same streaming service, just different free trials using his prepaid cards. @tyler854 you raise a good point though, I probably only actively use maybe 60 of my 400 something passwords. The rest are from that time I signed up for a gardening forum in 2019 because I wanted to see a single picture of a tomato plant, or that free VPN trial I never canceled, or the 12 different email addresses I used for Craigslist over the years. It's wild how fast it piles up, especially when you accidentally make a new account for something you already have because your password manager auto-suggested a fresh login.
