I figured out my 'strong' password was basically public info after a friend guessed it in two tries.

He knew my dog's name from old Facebook posts and my high school graduation year, which was all it took to crack the simple combo I'd used for everything since college.

Ugh, that's the worst... been there. You gotta start using a password manager, seriously. It makes random ones and remembers them for you so you never use that old combo again.

Honestly, they can still get breached though.

But what if the manager itself gets hacked? Then they have all your passwords at once instead of just one.
