Last Tuesday my password manager lockout nearly cost me 14 years of logins

I hit the wrong master password three times before the app locked me out for 24 hours, and I panicked because my backup codes were stored in a drawer in the same office I no longer work at. Turns out the recovery file I emailed myself back in 2019 was still in my sent folder, so I got back in after a tense phone call with their support line. Has anyone else built an emergency plan for their password manager that actually held up in a real crisis?
