My bank told me to stop using my debit card at gas stations, I did it for 30 days
Last month a teller at the First National branch on Highway 6 in Waco told me debit cards are fine everywhere and I was being paranoid about skimmers. So I switched to a credit card for every gas and grocery run for 30 days and watched my bank app like a hawk. Someone tried to run a $340 charge at a Walmart in Dallas on day 22 and the card company caught it before it posted, which my debit card never would have done. Has anyone else made this switch and actually gone back?
