My IT guy said use a password manager, and 2 years later I finally get why he wouldn't stop bugging me
I put it off for a long time, I mean who wants to deal with that, but after I kept reusing the same 3 passwords everywhere my buddy Marco set me up with one and made me change all 40 something logins at once. Six months in and someone tried to get into my email from a device in Romania, and the random 20 character password just shut it down cold. Anyone else drag their feet on this stuff way longer than they should?
40 logins at once? That would take me a full weekend and a lot of yelling at my laptop. And wait, you actually waited around for two whole years before doing it? Six months after and you already caught someone in Romania poking at your email, which kinda proves the point I guess. My passwords are still the same tired ones I've had since like 2019, so maybe I should stop stalling too.
