Overheard a guy at the coffee shop say he still uses 'password123'

I was grabbing a coffee yesterday morning. Guy behind me was on the phone bragging about his password. Said he doesn't change it because he's 'too smart to get hacked.' Made me think back to my old job at a repair shop in Denver. We'd see 3 or 4 machines a month locked up with ransomware. Most of them from people who thought they knew better. The smart ones are the ones who use a password manager and 2-factor. That coffee shop guy is gonna learn the hard way. Has anyone else heard someone blowing off basic security like that?

Two months of crypto locker taught me the hard way.

Yeah I used to think people were overreacting about crypto locker but man was I wrong. That stuff is no joke once you actually experience it.

Three of my coworkers got hit last year. It's the worst.
