Overheard a kid say "passwords are for boomers" and it hit me different

I was at a coffee shop in Portland last week and this teenager told his friend he uses the same 6 digit pin for everything because "hackers don't care about my stuff." Made me realize how much the younger generation just expects security to be invisible now, like we didn't spend years memorizing different passwords for every account. Anyone else notice this shift with people under 20?

Nah, six digit pins are fine. Nobody's cracking that to steal your Spotify account.

I coulda sworn there was some study or article that showed how common patterns like 123456 or 111111 make up a huge chunk of all six digit codes. Plus, it's not just about someone sitting there trying every combo, it's about data breaches and people using the same pin for everything. I think that makes it way less secure than people realize, even if it feels safer than four digits.

Right? "Fine" is generous, honestly. I've been using the same four-digit PIN for my bank card since 2005 and I'm still not worried.
