Saw a public charging station at the airport with a scary warning sign
I was stuck at O'Hare last week waiting for a delayed flight and my phone was at 3%. I went to use one of those free USB charging stations near gate B12, you know the ones built into the seats. Right above the port was a small sticker that said 'Data may be accessed. Charge only.' It made me think, because I would have just plugged in without a second look. I carry a 'charge-only' USB cable now, which blocks the data pins, but most people don't. It's a perfect spot for a 'juice jacking' scam where bad stuff gets loaded onto your phone. Has anyone else seen these warnings pop up in other public places?

That "data may be accessed" warning is why I only use a wall plug now.

Wait, that warning is real? I always thought it was just legal stuff they had to say. Maybe I should switch to a wall plug too.

My old airport's USB port actually fried a phone battery once.
