That moment I realized I was saving passwords in a text file for 4 years lol

I was showing my friend how I log into my bank account and he just stared at me when I opened Notepad with 50 passwords on it. Said I might as well write them on a sticky note on my monitor smh. Anyone else have that 'oh crap' moment with their password habits?

$20 a year is nothing compared to losing access to your bank account. I had 147 passwords in a spreadsheet before i finally gave in and got a manager last year. Weird how we treat digital security like it's some optional extra instead of just basic adult stuff. Same way people ignore updating their phone until it bricks itself.

A password manager is twenty bucks a year, dude.

Man, I feel personally attacked because I spent a whole afternoon trying to guess my own lastpass master password before I just gave up and reset it. Turns out my "secure" password was just my dog's name backwards with two numbers, so jokes on me I guess. Ever had to dig through your browser's saved passwords just to log back into your own vault?
