The $25 password manager I ignored for 2 years finally saved my accounts in Phoenix

My coworker kept pushing me to use a password manager but I thought my notebook method was fine, then a phishing link on my phone got my bank login and my email in 20 minutes last Tuesday. Switching to Bitwarden with unique passwords took me an afternoon and I honestly can't believe I fought it for that long, has anyone else had a close call that made them stop relying on memory alone?

...and THAT is exactly why my "master password" was just my dog's name and birth year for way too long. I got hit with a fake login page pretending to be my email provider, typed my info in without blinking, and the next morning my steam account was selling CS skins in a language I don't speak. Spent a whole Saturday locked out of my own life, calling banks from a burner phone like some kinda spy movie extra. Now I'm the one lecturing everyone about Bitwarden and my password is 26 characters of pure paranoia. The notebook thing felt so clever until the notebook itself was basically a treasure map for anyone who stole it.
