The $60 password manager that saved my bank account last month

I kept putting off upgrading from the free tier to the paid one because 60 bucks felt like a lot. Last month I got an alert about a login from another country, turned out my old password was in a breach dump. The manager auto-rotated my bank and email passwords before anything got drained. That single subscription basically paid for itself in peace of mind. Has anyone else had a close call like that with reused passwords?

Real talk though, is this just luck with timing? Like the only reason it worked out is because the breach happened to hit a site where you had the password manager set up for auto-rotate. Most people have passwords in random places, like that old forum account nobody thinks about. Also 60 bucks a year for something that mostly just changes passwords for you, when you could just use a free tool or even a notebook for the really important stuff, feels like a lot. Plus the real fix is just not reusing passwords in the first place, which takes zero dollars. Sounds more like you got lucky than the software being some kind of hero.
