The Tuesday in 2016 my old boss made us unplug the shop router for 3 hours
Back when I worked at a shop in Fort Wayne, our boss got spooked by that big Dyn attack in 2016 and had us unplug the router for a whole afternoon just to be safe. We lost card payments and had to write receipts by hand, but it also made me realize how few people there even knew what a password manager was back then. Does anyone else remember how basic the advice was in those days, or was my shop just behind?
