TIL that stolen passwords get sold for less than a cup of coffee, heard it on a podcast in my truck
I was driving back from a job in Tulsa last Tuesday listening to a security podcast and the host said a hacked email login goes for about 3 bucks on those dark web markets. That number stuck with me all week. I always figured a stolen password was worth way more, like it was some big deal to sell. It made me go home and finally turn on two factor for my bank and email, took maybe 20 minutes. How do you all get family members to actually turn that on without nagging them to death?
