Caught my old tile grout vs new epoxy grout after 8 months

I regrouted my bathroom shower with epoxy grout back in January and the difference is wild. The old grout was stained and cracked within a year, but this stuff still looks brand new after 8 months of daily use. Has anyone else switched to epoxy and seen a real difference?

Did I mess up my epoxy grout or just my whole life?

Did your friend who tried it complain about how hard it is to work with? My buddy Jeff did his whole kitchen backsplash with epoxy grout and swore he'd never do it again because it sets up so fast. He said you basically have to work in tiny sections and wipe off the haze immediately or it turns into concrete. But I gotta say, after seeing his results a year later compared to my old grout that looked like a moldy sponge after six months, I'm starting to think the hassle might be worth it. He's had zero issues with cracking or staining, even with all the cooking grease and sauce splatters in there. I still haven't made the switch myself but his experience makes me want to try it on my next bathroom project, even if it means working faster than I'd like.

Hate when grout goes bad that fast, epoxy is way more durable.
