Changed my mind about paying for fast shipping after a total disaster last week
I used to always buy the cheapest shipping option because I figured waiting a few extra days was no big deal. But last Tuesday I ordered a replacement part for my washing machine from a site in Ohio, and I picked the free 5-7 day shipping to save $8. It got delayed twice and finally arrived on day 9, but the box was smashed and the plastic control board inside was cracked right down the middle. I had to spend another $12 on superglue and epoxy just to try to fix it, plus wait another hour while it dried. Now I'm thinking that $8 savings was a total waste. Has anyone else had a cheap shipping choice backfire like that?

Oh totally agree with you and @karen_sanchez49, I did the same thing last month with a phone case and it showed up looking like someone used it for a hockey puck. Kinda ironic that saving eight bucks meant spending twelve on glue and a whole hour of my life I'll never get back, so I guess we both learned the hard way that cheap shipping is just expensive trouble in disguise.
