I finally admitted the farmers market thing was a mistake after 3 Saturdays

There's a stall near my apt in Austin that sells those fancy pasture raised eggs for 9 bucks a dozen. Last month I kept grabbing them because the guy is super nice and the yolks are crazy orange. But today I realized I've spent like 108 bucks on eggs in 3 weeks and my normal grocery store ones taste basically the same in a scramble. I even read the label and they don't even say certified anything, just 'farm fresh'. Am I paying for the vibe or is there actually a difference? Has anyone else dropped cash on the cute stand just to feel like a good shopper?

That nine dollar dozen is just the price of feeling like you belong to something, same as every other trend we buy into.
