My backup calendar app failed me during a power outage last Tuesday

I had two calendars synced, my work one and a personal one, but neither had my neighbor's fence repair appointment. When the power went out at 4pm, I couldn't pull up anything offline and missed the window. I ended up calling them at 7pm to apologize and reschedule for Saturday. Now I keep a paper sticky note on my fridge with the week's must-do stuff, has anyone else gone back to analog after a tech fail like this?

Sticky notes are just cloud storage for people who've been burned before, guess that makes us both members of the analog survivors club. My fridge looks like a conspiracy board now, but at least it doesn't need a firmware update.

Same thing happened to me with my grocery list app last month, lost the whole week's menu when my phone died at the store. @william_garcia hit the nail on the head, that fridge conspiracy board is the only thing I trust now. Paper never crashes, just gotta remember to look at it!
