My neighbor blasts talk radio at 6 AM and I don't know if I should say something
Last Thursday I banged on his door at 6:15 and he just shrugged saying he needs it to wake up for his 4 AM shift. Now I'm stuck between buying earplugs or being the jerk who calls the landlord. Has anyone else dealt with a noise issue where the person seems reasonable but still drives you nuts?

Flip the script and join him instead. Crack a beer at 6 AM and listen to talk radio on his porch for a week. He'll either get creeped out and stop, or you'll make a weird friend who finally understands your pain.

Wait hold on, you might be right for most places but not everywhere. Some warehouses and factories actually start their 4 AM shifts later in the day because they run two 4 AM shifts. One from 4 AM to noon and another from 4 PM to midnight. So the 4 AM shift can mean starting at 4 in the morning OR starting a shift that begins at 4 in the afternoon if they use 24 hour time on the schedule. I worked at a place that did this and it was super confusing at first. Plus some retail stores use 4 AM shifts for overnight stockers that start at like 4 in the afternoon and end at midnight. So it really depends on the job.
