My neighbor swore by a weird trick to keep squirrels off the bird feeder

He told me to hang a few old CDs from the feeder pole to scare them away, and I thought it was total nonsense. I tried it anyway with three scratched discs I found in my garage. For a whole week, nothing happened and I felt like a fool. Then on day eight, I saw a squirrel run up, stop, stare at the spinning reflections, and just turn around. I've had zero squirrel problems for three months now. Has anyone else had a weird home fix actually work out?

Wow, that's wild it actually worked! I had a similar thing with fruit flies. Someone said to put apple cider vinegar in a jar with plastic wrap on top, poke tiny holes. Sounded dumb but I was desperate. Left it on the counter overnight and the jar was full of them the next morning. Sometimes the weird stuff just clicks.
