The 40 minute commute I dreaded turned into my favorite part of the day

I used to hate driving from Tacoma to Seattle for work, but after 6 months I started listening to audiobooks and now I actually look forward to it. Found a library app that has free ones, and my blood pressure dropped once I stopped fighting traffic. Has anyone else turned something they hated into something they secretly enjoy?

Start seeing these little shifts everywhere once you notice the first one. Like my buddy who used to hate mowing his lawn but now treats it as his only quiet hour without the kids. Or my sister who dreaded meal prep Sundays but turned it into a podcast marathon with a glass of wine. It's like our brains just need a different hook to grab onto, something that flips the dread into a tiny reward. Once you find that hook, the whole thing changes, you stop fighting it and just let it become yours.
