The day my van's AC died on a 95 degree rooftop job
Last month I had a maintenance call on a flat roof in Phoenix. Midday, sun beating down, and my van's AC compressor gave out. I had to choose between finishing the job and risking heat stroke or telling the customer I'd come back, which would've cost me the whole afternoon. I pushed through with a cooler of ice water and a damp towel on my neck, took twice as long as normal. When I got back to the shop, the compressor was a $620 fix. Has anyone else had a workday where your equipment fails right when you need it most? How do you decide between pushing through or calling it?

Kind of sounds like you made it through fine, just a bad day.

Yeah @jana_jones, "fine" is doing a LOT of heavy lifting here, trust me.
