The one critique about my meal prep that changed my whole Sunday routine
My sister watched me pack 5 identical chicken and rice containers last Sunday and said 'you're just eating the same sad thing every day, why not prep ingredients instead of meals?' So I switched to prepping grilled chicken, roasted veggies, and quinoa separately, then mixing them fresh each night. Has anyone else had a family member point out something so obvious that it actually fixed your daily dinner stress?

My brother caught me doing something similar with my breakfast about two years ago. He watched me make 7 identical smoothie bags on Sunday night, all sealed and stacked in the freezer, and he goes "why are you making the same smoothie every single day, you are not a robot". That got me thinking and now I just wash and chop whatever fruit is on sale that week, then I pick what I actually want each morning based on how I feel. Sometimes I do strawberry banana, sometimes I toss in spinach or peanut butter, it takes maybe 3 extra minutes a day but I ended up actually looking forward to breakfast again. The funny part is my brother doesnt even cook, he lives off frozen pizza and protein bars, so I have no clue why he felt qualified to critique my system. But he was right and now I tell everyone to think about prepping parts instead of finished meals.
