Appreciation post: that random stranger in the grocery store who fixed my cart

I was at the Kroger on 5th Street yesterday, wrestling with a cart that had a wobbly wheel and a sticky brake, and a guy just walked over, flipped the cart over, and showed me the coin slot trick to unstick the wheel in 10 seconds. He laughed and said he fixes one every time he shops, so now I do too when I see a cart acting up. Has anyone else picked up a weird habit from a total stranger that actually stuck?
