Blew $60 on a fancy fountain pen that just leaks everywhere
I bought this vintage fountain pen off eBay (thought it would be a cool writing hobby) and it left ink blobs all over my lesson plans for three weeks straight. Anyone else fall for the "premium writing experience" trap or have a pen that actually works for daily use?

Wait, three weeks of ruined lesson plans? I'd be absolutely losing my mind if I had to deal with ink blobs all over my prep work that long (like, how do you even salvage that mess). That takes some serious patience, honestly, because I would've tossed that pen out the window after day one.

Oh man, three weeks of ink blobs all over lesson plans? That is seriously rough, I'd be pulling my hair out lol. I bought a "vintage" pen from a flea market once and it was basically a leaky mess that stained my whole shirt pocket before I even got to use it proper. It's wild how those old pens get hyped up as "premium" but they were probably just cheap junk back in the day too. For daily use, I'd say skip the vintage stuff and grab a Lamy Safari or a Pilot Metropolitan, those things hold up and don't cost a ton. Sucks you got burned on the eBay gamble though, that's a classic trap for sure.

Oh I had the exact same problem with a vintage pen until someone told me to flush it out with a bulb syringe and plain water, that cleared up the old dried ink and it wrote perfectly after that.
