Lesson learned: that $80 air purifier I bought off Facebook Marketplace was a complete dud

Bought a used GermGuardian from some guy in my neighborhood. Got it home and the fan sounded like a lawnmower. Took it apart and found a dead mouse inside. Has anyone else had luck fixing these things or should I just toss it?

23 bucks for a new filter is way less hassle than dealing with a warranty claim honestly. I used to be all about trying to get every warranty honored but this thread convinced me it's not worth the headache.

Yeah but good luck getting a warranty claim on a dead mouse. That thing is toast, just toss it. You'll spend more time and money trying to fix it than it's worth.
