Picked the cheap paint over the premium for a big job last week
I saved $400 on materials by going with the budget brand, but now the client is already calling about touch-ups after 5 days. Was that a dumb move or is paint just overpriced half the time anyway.

Used to be one of those people who'd say paint is paint, grab whatever's on sale. Then I did a rental flip with cheap paint and ended up going back over every single wall three times inside of a year. That $400 you saved is probably gone now with the extra labor and the cost of having to redo spots. Cheap paint just doesn't have the solids in it to hold up, simple as that. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.
