Spilled coffee down my white shirt right before a client call

I was standing in my home office in Phoenix at 8:45 AM with my favorite ceramic mug and somehow tipped the whole thing onto my chest. I had to strip off the shirt, dab it with a wet towel, and sit through a 30 minute Zoom meeting looking like a patchy mess. Has anyone else had a clumsy moment completely derail their morning and how did you bounce back quick?

Favorite ceramic mug" is a dangerous choice. That's just asking for a morning disaster. I switched to a metal thermos with a lid after my second trip to the dry cleaner that week.

I actually swapped my favorite mug for a lidded travel cup too after a bad morning. Spilled hot coffee on my white shirt right before a meeting and it was a whole thing. Metal thermoses are great until you forget it's full of boiling liquid and burn your mouth. Plus ceramic mugs just hold onto that burnt coffee taste no matter how much you scrub them.
