Comparing budget LED strips from Amazon to name brand ones cost me more in the long run
Bought a $12 roll of LED strip lights off Amazon for my kitchen under-cabinet lighting. Worked fine for two months then half the strip stopped lighting up. Swapped it out for a $35 set from a lighting store that uses proper voltage regulators. Night and day difference in color consistency and the dimmer doesn't flicker anymore. Has anyone else found that paying more upfront actually saved them headache down the road?

Half the strip stopped lighting up" - yeah, cheap LEDs are basically disposable.

Depends what you call cheap, Vera. A $10 strip from Amazon is basically a disposable novelty. Spend a little more and you might get a few years out of it before one segment gives out.
