Saw a wild stat about phone batteries today
Apparently the average phone battery loses 20% of its capacity after just 500 charge cycles. Found that on a battery health website while looking up why my phone dies at 3pm now. Anyone else feel like their phone is a ticking time bomb after a year?

I read somewhere that the whole 500 charge cycles thing is actually a rough average and it really depends on how you treat your phone. Like if you let it drain to zero every time, that's way worse than topping it off when it hits 40%. I also saw a study that said heat is the real enemy, not just the number of cycles. Leaving your phone in a hot car or charging it while it's in direct sunlight can kill the battery way faster. A friend of mine swears by only charging to 80% and she's had her phone for three years with barely any drop in battery life. Have you tried any of those charging habits or do you just plug it in whenever you think about it?

Wait, I used to just blame the apps getting bigger for my dying battery but after reading that same stat I finally accepted it's just the battery wearing out? Honestly, I was one of those people who swore battery health was a scam until I checked my own phone and saw 78% after two years. Ngl now I actually plan to replace the battery instead of just complaining about it.
