Showerthought: the water fountain at my gym in Tulsa has been broken for 6 weeks and nobody else seems to care
I go to a gym off 71st in Tulsa and there is one water fountain in the whole place. It stopped working 6 weeks ago and there is a little paper sign on it that keeps getting moved around, like the front desk thinks that counts as a fix. I bring a 32 oz bottle and have to refill it at the bathroom sink, which is nasty, and I have watched at least 15 people walk up to that fountain, stare at the sign, and walk away. If you work out for an hour you need water, that is just basic stuff. I asked the front desk guy about it and he shrugged and said the part is on order. Six weeks for a part? I am not trying to be dramatic but if a gym cannot keep water working, what else is slipping? Has anyone else had a gym let one small thing go for way too long, or am I being picky here?
Six weeks for a part is wild, that is not a supply chain issue, that is them not caring enough to call a plumber. The fact that 15 people just stare at the sign and walk away tells you the whole vibe, everyone has given up on that place fixing anything. If they can't handle a water fountain, I would bet money the AC and the broken machines are next on the list.
