Bought a $30 attic ladder latch kit and it saved me from a nasty fall

I swapped out the old broken latch on my pull-down attic stairs and it clicks shut so solid now, no more fear of it crashing down on me. Has anyone else put off fixing something small like that and regretted it?

Totally agree, it's like you suddenly realize how much easier life could have been. That little bit of effort pays off so fast.
