Dishwasher drain hose split open at 6 AM and flooded half the kitchen
Woke up to water pooling under the sink and running across the linoleum. The hose had a tiny crack that turned into a 3 inch split overnight. Had to pull everything out and shop vac about 5 gallons of dirty water off the floor. Spent the next 2 hours at Ace Hardware trying to match the diameter because of course it's a weird size. Finally got it swapped around 9 AM but the floorboards are still squishy in one spot. Anyone dealt with warped laminate after a flood like this?

Markh85 is right about that particle board laminate - it ABSORBS water like a sponge and once it swells it never goes back to normal. You might get lucky if you can get a fan blowing directly on the squishy spot for a few days straight but honestly start checking prices on replacement planks NOW. Those weird size hoses are a TOTAL nightmare too, I swear they make them specially so you have to buy the whole damn kit instead of just a replacement hose.

Actually @milarodriguez the hose sizes are weird but you can get them at most hardware stores if you bring the old one in.

Man I feel your pain so much right now. I had basically the exact same thing happen last winter except it was a 5 AM wakeup call instead of 6. That hose split right at the crimp fitting and I swear it was like someone turned a faucet on under the cabinet. The worst part for me was the floorboards - they were those cheap click-lock laminate planks and they swelled up at the seams so bad I had to pull up a whole row and let them dry for a week before they'd lay flat again. I ended up buying a dehumidifier from Home Depot and running it nonstop for 3 days just to get the squishy spot under control. If you got that particle board core laminate you might be looking at replacing a few planks honestly because that stuff turns to mush once it soaks up water. Hope your floor dries out better than mine did.
