Hit 100 consecutive morning pages without planning it

I started writing morning pages back in January, just three pages of stream of consciousness stuff before work. Yesterday I checked my journal app and realized I had done 100 days in a row, no gaps. I never set out to hit a number, it just snuck up on me. It caught me off guard because I usually quit habits after two weeks. Has anyone else had a streak like that where you looked up and realized you went way further than expected?

Oh man, I gotta push back on this one a little. 100 days of rambling on paper sounds more like a crutch than progress to me. Writing the same unfiltered junk every morning just trains your brain to be lazy instead of focused.

Tried that method for about two weeks and yeah, it just turned into me writing down every random thought without any real direction. I switched to focused prompts or just a bullet list of what's actually bugging me that day, and that's been way more helpful for figuring stuff out.

@lee847 is way off base here. 100 days is not lazy, it's persistence. The rambling IS the point, it clears the clutter. Stuff like 'I hate my job' or 'what's for lunch' gets dumped out so real thoughts can surface. Calling it a crutch ignores how the brain actually works. That unfiltered junk is what unblocks you.
