Hit 100 days of tracking my water intake and it shocked me

I started using a free app on my phone to log how much water I drink every day. I never thought I'd stick with it but somehow I hit 100 days in a row yesterday. Turns out I was only drinking about 3 cups a day before, not the 8 everyone talks about. Now I'm closer to 5 or 6 and I actually feel less tired in the afternoon. The numbers just surprised me because I thought I was fine before. Has anyone else noticed a big difference after tracking something simple like this?

3 cups before tracking is wild, that afternoon slump is NO joke.

That "afternoon slump" part hits hard because it's like your body is punishing you for the morning caffeine overload. I notice the same pattern everywhere I look now, people chugging coffee early then crashing hard by 2pm. It makes me wonder if we're all just running on borrowed energy instead of figuring out what actually keeps us steady through the day.

Honestly I actually think caffeine gets too much blame here. Your body crashes because you're not eating right or sleeping enough, not because you had coffee at 8am. I've been pounding black coffee since 6:30 and I'm still going strong at 4pm without any slump.
