My $80 mistake on a fancy plant light that did nothing
I bought this expensive grow light from Amazon for my indoor herbs, thinking it would help them grow through the winter. Spent $80 on it because the reviews said it was top tier. Three months later my basil was still tiny and my mint literally died. I finally checked the actual wattage output with a meter my buddy let me borrow, and it was only pulling 15 watts. Total scam. The light was bright to my eyes but had almost no real power for plants. I could have just put them by the window for free. Has anyone else fallen for a plant product that was just fancy packaging?

My friend Sarah had the exact same thing happen with her sofa last year. She ordered this beautiful dark blue one online, waited six weeks for delivery, and when it finally showed up the color was more like a weird greenish-gray. She said it looked like someone had washed it with bleach in one corner. The worst part was the company wanted her to pay return shipping which was almost as much as the sofa itself. She ended up just keeping it and buying a giant throw blanket to cover the ugly part.
