My neighbor's two word comment rewired how I see my whole day
Yesterday I was complaining to my neighbor Dave about how I only got the dishes done and answered a few emails. He just shrugged and said 'so you showed up twice.' That hit me way harder than it should have. I realized I keep judging my days by some imaginary finish line instead of just counting the times I actually tried. Has anyone else had a tiny comment from someone totally normal flip their whole mindset like that?

GEEZ, that's such a good one. I feel like we all get so caught up in the idea of a "productive day" that we forget just showing up for ourselves is a win. That simple phrase really cuts through the noise, you know? It's like the bar we set is always this huge mountain, but Dave just pointed out that the first step is enough sometimes. I've had small comments like that stick with me for years, usually from the last person you'd expect to be a life coach. It's wild how a random neighbor or coworker can say something so plain that it just rearranges your brain. I'm gonna try to remember that one next time I'm beating myself up over a slow Tuesday.
