Thought the $12 flea market bread maker was junk, but it made 4 perfect loaves this week

Saw a bread maker at the Springfield flea market for $12 last Saturday and almost walked past it because I figured it was a scam or broken. Got it home, scrubbed the pan, and it has turned out four solid loaves since Monday with almost no work on my part. Has anyone else bought cheap secondhand kitchen stuff that actually held up, or did I just get lucky this once?
