Took a photo of my desk cable setup 3 months ago vs today... night and day
Back in January my desk looked like a spaghetti monster exploded behind my monitor. Finally got around to using those velcro cable ties from Amazon ($8 for a pack of 50) and routed everything along the desk legs. Now it's actually clean enough that I don't hide my laptop when friends come over by my apartment in Austin. Has anyone else had that moment where you look at an old picture and wonder how you lived with the mess so long?

I mean, it's a tidy desk, sure, but was the old one really that bad? People get so worked up over cables like it's a hygiene issue or something.

And honestly, once you start caring about cable management it's a slippery slope (I literally reorganized my entire living room after doing my desk). It's like once you see the chaos you can't unsee it, you know?
