Vent: Paid $40 for a meal prep app that literally just counts calories

I wasted $40 on some fancy meal prep app last week and it's basically just a calorie counter with ugly pictures. Anyone else fall for those overhyped ads and lose money?

I cancelled my subscription to "MealMate Pro" after the trial week. What actually helped me was just using a basic notebook and a free app like Cronometer for tracking. I started meal prepping by picking 3 recipes from random food blogs on Sunday and cooking them in bulk. Saved me $40 and honestly the food tasted better than whatever that app was pushing. You dont need fancy tools to eat well, just a little time and some basic containers.

Totally agree lol. The notebook method is underrated.

3 recipes from Sunday saved me $40 too @robins83, the notebook method keeps it simple.
