A stranger's comment on my resume changed how I write everything now
Last Tuesday a hiring manager in Austin told me my bullet points read like a robot wrote them, so I started each one with a plain verb and cut every buzzword. Now my cover letters and even my Slack updates feel clearer, has anyone else gotten blunt feedback that actually stuck?

That blunt feedback stings but it WORKS. Once someone points out your writing sounds fake, you can't unhear it. Plain verbs force you to actually say what you did instead of hiding behind fluff. I started doing the same thing after a boss told me my emails read like a thesaurus threw up on them. Now I write like I talk, unless I'm REALLY angry. Honestly, hiring managers are scanning for results, not creative writing, so cut the noise. Your post is proof that the best advice usually comes from total strangers.
