Chose the slow bus over the express, best 90 minutes I burned this month

Tbh everyone raves about saving time on the express, but I took the local through downtown Austin yesterday and saw three street murals I never noticed in 5 years. The driver even let an old guy on with a broken fare card. Has anyone else found more value in the long way around?
