Dropped a whole bag of groceries in the parking lot today
Was at the Kroger on Main Street around 5pm. Had both hands full with bags. One plastic bag handle just snapped. Eggs broke. Milk jug cracked. Had to stand there and pick up broken shells and glass right in the middle of aisle 4. A stock kid brought me a mop. Anyone else ever have a grocery bag give out at the worst possible moment?

Did you see that viral Tik Tok where the guy's entire Costco run ended up rolling down a hill... I swear I saw someone's perfectly organized cart just tip over near the dairy section once, and they just stood there frozen for a solid minute before saying something rude to the bagger. It's worse when you're already stressed and then you're stuck picking up a busted jar of pasta sauce with a napkin while people just walk around you. For real though, that stock kid was probably the hero of the day for bringing a mop instead of just staring.

Oh man, I mean yeah that sucks but you're acting like you had to fight a bear for that milk. Grocery bags break, it happens. You got a mop from a stock kid, problem solved. People act like a few broken eggs is the end of the world when they could've just bought eggs again for like two bucks.

Yeah but eggs are like five bucks a dozen now where I live, not two. Inflation hit hard. I get your point about people overreacting though, I've seen grown adults almost cry over a smashed loaf of bread. Still, that stock kid was probably just happy to do something other than scan items for once. Did you ever work retail and secretly hope for a mess just to break up the boredom?
