Found out a 5-second reset on my router fixes buffering better than restarting everything

I was about to throw my laptop after a Zoom call froze for the 3rd time, so I unplugged the coax cable for 5 seconds instead. Now I'm wondering what other simple tricks I've been missing, anyone have a go-to fix that sounds too easy to work?

Huh, that's funny you mention coax because I finally figured out my smart TV's been fighting me for months. Turns out the little plastic IR cover on the remote was peeling off and blocking the signal. I taped it back on and it's been fine ever since. Makes me think half my tech problems are just dumb stuff I'm too lazy to notice.

Did your remote look like it survived a fight with a dog before you taped it? I had a buddy who spent three days reinstalling Windows drivers because his keyboard was typing gibberish, only to realize he left a bag of chips on the spacebar overnight. The crumbs had mashed a couple keys down and it took him that long to think, "Maybe I should clean this thing.
