Respect the honesty though, sometimes that feedback stings but it makes you better in the long run.

My uncle had a similar problem a few years back when he started his barbecue sauce business. Someone told him his rubs tasted like "campfire ash" and he almost quit right there. What helped him was setting a rule for himself: wait 24 hours before making any changes based on one person's feedback. It gives you time to decide if the criticism is actually useful or just someone having a bad day.
