I drove Exactly 100,000 miles on my Honda Civic this morning and the dash lit up like a celebration
Hit the 100k mark at a red light on 14th street and the car gave me this little green light show I never knew existed, has anyone else seen a secret dashboard message when you hit a big number?

My Honda just gave me the check engine light and a gentle reminder that I'm poor, not a fireworks display. Must have paid extra for the base model with the "soul crushing reality" package instead of the "party mode" upgrade. Maybe you got the deluxe trim where 100k miles triggers a tiny disco ball and a confetti cannon under the hood. Mine just hits 100k and asks me why I haven't traded it in yet like a disappointed parent.

Dude same thing happened to me with my Subaru at 80k, the dash flashed a little tree icon I didn't even know existed it was like the car was high fiving me.

Did you actually see a hidden message on the dash, or was it just the regular lights coming on? My old Accord hit 150k a few years back and all I got was the check engine light and a low tire pressure warning. I thought maybe there was a secret Easter egg but it turned out to be the scheduled maintenance reminder. Usually those "celebration" lights are just the computer telling you it's time for an oil change or belt inspection. Nothing wrong with a little show though, maybe you got lucky with a newer model.
