Saw a kid today using a payphone and it broke my brain for a second

I was walking past the bus station downtown and this teenager actually pulled a quarter out of his pocket and used the payphone. Not for a gag or a photo, he was legit calling someone to pick him up because his phone died. Made me wonder how many of us under 30 even know how to use a payphone anymore.

Watching someone do something so normal from 20 years ago" is the part that gets me. Twenty years ago was 2004, not 1984. Payphones were already on their way out by then, everyone had a flip phone. I bet that kid probably had to stand there and figure out which way the coin goes in because they changed the slots a few times over the years. Honestly, the only thing that would break my brain is seeing a teenager with a quarter in the first place, that's the real mystery.

Nah, most of that stuff still feels pretty normal to me.
