Spent $75 on a fancy bird feeder and it was a total bust
I saw this cool squirrel-proof bird feeder online and thought it would be a game changer for my backyard. Paid $75 for it last week, got it all set up with some good seed, and waited. Three days went by and not a single bird touched it. Turns out the perch mechanism is too stiff and the little guys can't trigger it to get the seed out. Meanwhile, the squirrels are just climbing the pole and chewing through the plastic parts anyway. My cheap $10 tube feeder from the hardware store gets swarmed every morning. Has anyone else dealt with a feeder that just doesn't work as advertised?

Look, you probably just didn't give it enough TIME. Birds aren't going to magically show up and figure out a new feeder in three days, especially if you changed their routine.

Time" isn't the issue, I've had feeders get visitors in like an hour before.
