The free couch from Facebook Marketplace had a surprise in the cushion

Picked up a free sectional in Portland yesterday and found $320 cash sewn into the armrest lining, which is wild since I almost passed on it due to the weird smell. Has anyone else found something bizarre inside used furniture, or should I be worried the original owner is coming back for it?
